APPLICATION
5-Fluorocytosine is not only an antibacterial drug but also a main intermediate for the preparation of capecitabine. Capecitabine can inhibit cell division and interfere with RNA and protein synthesis. It is an antimetabolic fluoropyrimidine deoxynucleoside carbamate drug that can be converted into 5-FU in the body. It is mainly used to treat tumor diseases such as colorectal tumors, colon tumors, pancreatic tumors, and metastatic breast cancer.
