Purine Nucleoside Phosphorylase

In the presence of inorganic orthophosphate as the second substrate, Purine nucleoside phosphorylase catalyzes the breaking of the glycosidic bond between ribose and deoxyribonucleoside to generate purine base and ribose (deoxyribose) -1-phosphate.
