APPLICATION
As an important intermediate for food and pharmaceutical products, it can be used to synthesize food flavor enhancers, namely disodium 5'-guanylate and disodium 5'-ribonucleotide, as well as nucleoside antiviral drugs such as ribavirin and acyclovir. It is also the main raw material for the manufacture of drugs like acyclovir, ribavirin (ATC), and sodium guanosine triphosphate (GTP).
